Cat Haven Rescue is a state non-profit rescue working on obtaining their 501(c)3 status so they can get grants and more people would want to donate. The adoption fees do not sustain the rescue and currently the managers who run the show do not get paid, rather they get a percentage of the adoption fee (if they found the adopter/fostered the kitten only) which they usually spend on supplies, as Cat Haven can only afford so many supply drop-offs per week, and the rest of the money goes straight back into the rescue for mostly supplies and vaccines/vet bills, etc. We would like to start paying our managers who work very hard to help these kittens and cats find forever homes, but we can't do that without grants. So until we can obtain our 501(c)3 license or find a sponsor to help us until then, we depend on donations to keep open. We have saved collectively 350+ since April 2012 :)

$50 donation would buy us 10 FVRCP vaccines for cats and kittens. $60-$100 would buy us 1-2 months of flea treatment, depending on the season. We mostly use all-natural and grain-free cat & kitten food.

It's almost kitten season!!! We need to buy vaccines to prepare and supplies. We are SOOO ready!! In fact, the rescue hasn't been so sparse in cats and kittens in a long time, so there is plenty of room!!

We are accepting 1 adult into our rescue, and since we specialize in pregnant/mom cats w/kittens/kittens under 3 months, we are open for one.

Also we are accepting kittens *NO INTAKE FEE!!* and will even pick them up depending on where you live in Austin (or outside of Austin)

Special thanks to Eileen Haag from Bastrop Shelter (volunteer, great woman) who works with mainly the cats and kittens at Bastrop Shelter. She has helped us many times take many of our rescues to be fixed and get rabies vaccines, etc. She has also donated a ton of supplies.
